Mission

The Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF) was established in 2000 to provide grants to Pacific Northwest states and tribes to assist state, tribal and local salmon conservation and recovery efforts. The PCSRF was requested by the governors of the states of Washington, Oregon, California and Alaska in response to Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings of West Coast salmon and steelhead populations.

August 2010: Statewide Call for Proposals

AKSSF opened a statewide call for proposals (CFP) on August 18, 2010. We anticipate having about $9.4 million dollars in funding available. The following partial list of conditions applies to this CFP:

Outreach and Education Grants

AKSSF is working with the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development to administer a grant program for salmon outreach and education projects. The first grant solicitation period is tentatively scheduled for August 2010. More information will be provided on our website as it becomes available.

AKSSF Proposal Workshops

AKSSF periodically offers workshops to help potential applicants understand the proposal development and project selection processes. These workshops are a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about AKSSF and the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recover Fund. Details on the upcoming proposal workshop in Anchorage (with telephone participation available from other locations) are provided below.
